Silver Jubilee of Amala Anbukarangal – Salem

Children once abandoned, neglected, and suffering from traumatic experiences found care and hope at Amala Anbukarangal, Salem. Established in 1999, this center has worked for 25 years to provide holistic development and rehabilitation for street children, guided by the motto “To uphold human dignity.”

To mark 25 years of grace and service, a Silver Jubilee celebration was held on February 15, 2025, presided over by the Most Rev. Rayappan Arul Selvam, Bishop of Salem. The Bishop blessed the newly constructed Jubilee Memorial Hall, and the commemorative plaque was unveiled by Sr. V. Leema Rose, Provincial of Larmey Province – Sivagangai.

A solemn concelebrated Mass followed, attended by diocesan and religious priests, CIC sisters and friends, children, and members of other religious congregations. Many former residents of Amala Anbukarangal who are now well-settled also joined the celebration.
